I. The Philosopher
Only in the dictionary
does love come before lust.
You cannot love what you do not have.
What you do not have-
Therefore lust...
The hunger of the body
passions of the flesh unmet-
Sensual wishes...
The appetite of the mind,
desires beyond comprehension-
Filigreed fantasies...
Lascivious lasses, lustful lads,
take pleasure in the chase-
Yearn for satisfaction...
Eagerly hunt the intense,
anticipate the capture-
Burn for gratification...
Live to lust for life-
Or return to dust hereafter...
II. The Man
She turns to me
and her hooks
burn in my eyes.
Her smile whispers
innocence.
Her lips shout
decadence!
Her eyes
feed my hunger
to be trapped in her arms.
Her hair
is the frame of a masterpiece
waiting to be stolen
from a private gallery.
Her hand
destroys my thoughts,
defines my desires
with a careless caress.
Her blouse
shows me Hell,
calls me Tantalus
and hides her breasts in plain view.
Her scent
plays tag with my pulse.
Who is the predator?
Who is the prey?
Another woman
condemns me to a prison of morality
and walks away.
Lust
